This course provides the knowledge, understanding, and proficiency required for the safe operation and maintenance of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems on board ships, in accordance with STCW requirements. Training includes HV system architecture, switching operations, isolation and earthing procedures, fault detection, and the use of protective devices. Emphasis is placed on safety precautions, risk assessment, controlled access to HV areas, and compliance with operational and regulatory standards to prevent electrical hazards and ensure safe system performance.
