This course provides practical training in applying electrical engineering principles to shipboard systems in accordance with STCW requirements. Exercises include circuit analysis, measurement techniques, troubleshooting of electrical faults, operation of motors and generators, and safe handling of electrical equipment. Students practice using test instruments, interpreting diagrams, performing maintenance tasks, and following safety and isolation procedures. Emphasis is placed on developing hands-on competence, diagnostic skills, and safe working practices essential for marine electrical operations.
