Management of Change (MOC) Regulations

This course introduces the systematic risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance protocols required to evaluate, authorize, and implement physical, operational, or organizational modifications aboard a vessel. Participants learn how to apply structured Management of Change (MOC) workflows to ensure that temporary or permanent modifications—such as hardware retrofits, software updates, or structural crew reassignments—do not introduce unforeseen safety or environmental hazards. By focusing on multi-disciplinary impact assessments, updating technical documentation and blueprints, and communicating new procedural guidelines to the crew, the curriculum equips senior officers and safety managers with the skills to maintain fleet operational stability and satisfy strict international safety management standards.
