This course covers the operation of manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and precision surface grinders, as well as tooling selection, speeds and feeds calculation, and workpiece clamping methods. You will gain the technical skills needed to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications, utilize precision metrology instruments (such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial indicators), perform routine preventative maintenance on machine tools, and maintain strict workshop safety standards.
