Master the advanced aeromedical flight physiology, specialized patient stabilization techniques, and biosafety protocols required for critical care air evacuation and emergency transport. This course covers flight-altitude pathophysiology (such as hypoxia and barotrauma), in-flight mechanical ventilation, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, advanced trauma life support, and rapid pre-flight triage. You will develop the operational capabilities needed to manage negative-pressure isolation pods, deploy full-spectrum personal protective equipment (PPE) during transport of highly infectious disease and COVID-19 cases, coordinate air-to-ground communication with receiving trauma centers, and operate critical aeromedical life-support equipment within rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft environments.
