Students learn the fundamentals of vessel electrical power generation, generator synchronization, and safe phasing procedures. The module also covers the operation of main machinery, the propulsion system, and power transmission arrangements.
Training includes the use of various auxiliary equipment found in a typical engine room, helping students build confidence in normal operational procedures and system monitoring.
