COURSE OBJECTIVES AND BENEFITS
The course provides training to candidates to be duly qualified with specific duties and responsibilities related to ships operating in polar waters. It comprises a basic training programme appropriate to their duties and responsibilities, including knowledge of ice, safety measures, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable law and regulations, respectively. Any of these trainings may be given on board or ashore. It could be by practical training on board or in a suitable shore-based installation.
