Students learn how to identify hazards, follow safety protocols, and respond effectively to emergencies such as fire, flooding, collision, grounding, and medical incidents. The course covers alarm signals, muster procedures, evacuation methods, use of lifesaving and firefighting equipment, and coordination during emergency operations. Emphasis is placed on preparedness, teamwork, and maintaining a safe environment on board.
