Hydraulics and Pneumatics

This course provides the knowledge and understanding required to operate and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems used on board ships. Training includes the principles of fluid power, system components, pressure control, actuators, valves, and energy transmission. Students learn safe operating procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices for both hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Emphasis is placed on system reliability, safe work practices, and compliance with operational and safety standards.
