Material Mechanics 1

This course provides the foundational technical knowledge required for safe and effective work in marine engineering. Training includes basic mechanics, hydromechanics, and the strength and behavior of materials used in ship systems. Students learn material technology principles, as well as the fundamentals of naval architecture and ship construction. The course also introduces damage control concepts and structural safety, emphasizing the ability to understand ship design features, assess structural integrity, and support safe vessel operation.
