The module begins with an introduction to measurement principles, covering accuracy, precision, calibration, error analysis, and the characteristics of sensors and transducers. Students will study commonly measured variables such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level, and the devices used to measure them, including gauges, thermocouples, flowmeters, and transmitters.
