Operational, Configuration, and Performance Testing of Monitoring Systems, Automatic Control Devices, and Protective Devices

This course provides advanced training in the setup, operation, and performance verification of monitoring, control, and protective systems used in marine machinery and electrical installations. Students learn procedures for configuring automatic control devices, testing alarm and safety shutdown systems, evaluating sensor and actuator performance, and ensuring correct operation of protective devices. Emphasis is placed on diagnostic techniques, compliance with regulatory and manufacturer standards, and maintaining system reliability and safety across main propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and critical onboard equipment.
