This course provides essential training in survival at sea, focusing on the actions needed to protect life during an emergency. Students learn how to respond to abandon-ship situations, use lifejackets and immersion suits, enter the water safely, and board liferafts correctly. The course also covers survival strategies, distress signals, rescue procedures, and methods for increasing chances of recovery. Emphasis is placed on practical skills, confidence, and compliance with STCW survival requirements.
