This course covers the essential safety principles and procedures required when working with electrical installations on board ships. Students learn hazard identification, safe isolation practices, lockout/tagout procedures, grounding and protection methods, and the correct use of personal protective equipment. The course also addresses shock prevention, arc-flash risks, safe maintenance techniques, emergency response actions, and compliance with maritime electrical safety regulations. Emphasis is placed on creating a safe working environment and preventing accidents during electrical operations.
