Search And Rescue (SAR)

This course provides comprehensive training in maritime Search and Rescue operations. Students learn the seafarer’s obligations during SAR situations, the structure and use of the IAMSAR Manual, and the documentation required for effective SAR management. Key topics include the practical deployment of SAR resources, communication procedures within the global MRCC network, and the use of rescue and evacuation equipment onboard. The course also covers helicopter coordination in rescue operations and emphasizes teamwork through practical exercises using IAMSAR procedures and SAR assets.
