Maintenance and Repair of Automation and Control Systems for Main Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery

This course provides advanced training in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation and control systems used in main propulsion and auxiliary machinery. Students learn to work with sensors, actuators, control loops, PLCs, engine monitoring systems, and alarm and safety shutdown arrangements. The course covers diagnostic techniques, calibration procedures, system integration, and preventive maintenance practices. Emphasis is placed on ensuring reliable engine performance, optimizing machinery operation, and maintaining compliance with safety and classification requirements.
