This course focuses on advanced stability and calculation methods essential for safe cargo operations. Students learn to perform stability calculations, apply Simpson’s Rules for surface and volume measurements, and determine key form coefficients. The course covers static and dynamic stability, stability curves, free surface effects, and the influence of cargo density on draught. Additional topics include calculating true mean draught, understanding and interpreting the inclining test, and using trim and loading programs to support safe and efficient vessel loading operations.
