This course provides essential training in fire prevention, fire behavior, and effective firefighting techniques on board ships. Students learn how to identify fire hazards, implement preventative measures, and safely respond to different classes of fires. The course covers the correct use of extinguishers, hoses, breathing apparatus, and fixed fire-fighting systems, as well as teamwork and communication during emergency situations. Emphasis is placed on safety, preparedness, and the ability to confidently fight and extinguish fires in a maritime environment.
