This course provides the foundational knowledge and skills required to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings used in marine engineering and shipboard operations. Students learn drawing standards, symbols, projections, scales, and dimensioning, as well as how to interpret mechanical, structural, and schematic diagrams. Training includes practical drafting techniques and the use of drawings for maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of shipboard systems.
Emphasis is placed on accuracy, compliance with technical standards, and the ability to use drawings effectively to support safe and efficient engineering tasks on board.
