This course provides specialized training in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMDSS and other shipboard communication systems. Students learn to test, inspect, and maintain equipment such as VHF/MF/HF radios, INMARSAT terminals, EPIRBs, SARTs, NAVTEX receivers, and satellite communication units. The course also covers fault diagnosis, correct maintenance procedures, regulatory requirements, and documentation standards to ensure continuous, reliable, and compliant communication capability at sea.
