Participants learn how to identify hazardous noise levels, understand the physiological mechanics of permanent hearing loss, and correctly select and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), such as earplugs and earmuffs. By focusing on engineering controls, strict acoustic boundary zoning, and regular audiometric testing compliance, the curriculum equips personnel with the practical habits needed to prevent noise-induced hearing damage and maintain acute situational awareness during daily operations.
