This course covers the rigorous administrative, tracking, and reporting protocols required to verify and maintain environmental compliance aboard vessels. Participants learn how to systematically maintain critical shipboard documentation—including the Oil Record Book (Part I and II), Garbage Record Book, and Ballast Water Record Book—ensuring error-free entries that withstand Port State Control inspections. By focusing on international MARPOL annexes, electronic logging standards, data verification, and accurate reporting of accidental discharges, the curriculum equips officers with the skills necessary to eliminate non-conformities, avoid legal liabilities, and uphold a high standard of environmental accountability.
