Safety Observation & Behavioral Feedback Programs

175,00

This course details the implementation and management of behavioral safety programs designed to systematically reduce workplace injuries by focusing on the human element. Participants will learn how to conduct constructive safety observations on deck and in the engine room, distinguishing between safe behaviors and at-risk actions without creating a culture of blame.

The training places heavy emphasis on the art of behavioral feedback—teaching officers and supervisors how to engage crew members in positive, non-confrontational safety dialogues immediately following an observation. By mastering these communication techniques, maritime leaders will learn how to reinforce safe habits, collaboratively identify the root causes of risky shortcuts, and drive a continuous, peer-led improvement in the vessel’s overall safety culture.
