Anti-Piracy Practices & BMP5 Application

175,00

This course delivers critical tactical and operational training on defending a vessel and its crew against maritime piracy, focusing directly on the strict application of Best Management Practices 5 (BMP5) in High Risk Areas (HRA) like the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Indian Ocean. It trains ship masters and officers how to systematically plan a transit, starting with registering the vessel with maritime security centers like MSCHOA and UKMTO to ensure real-time tracking and naval support.

The curriculum places a massive emphasis on hardened physical defenses—including installing razor wire along the perimeter, setting up high-pressure water monitors, and blacking out external lighting. Crew members learn how to rapidly implement evasion maneuvers, configure a highly secure, unbreachable “citadel” (emergency safe room) equipped with independent life-support and communications, and coordinate with armed or unarmed Privately Contracted Maritime Security Teams (PCMST). Ultimately, it ensures the crew can maintain composure under extreme duress, delay pirate boarding attempts, and work seamlessly with international naval forces to prevent hijackings.
