This course provides the knowledge, understanding, and proficiency required to carry out the duties of a Safety Officer on board in accordance with STCW, the ISM Code, and company safety management procedures. Training includes hazard identification, risk assessment, accident investigation, safety inspections, and implementation of corrective and preventive measures. Students learn to promote a strong safety culture, conduct safety meetings and drills, monitor compliance with safe working practices, and support continuous improvement of the vessel’s Safety Management System. Emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe working environment, preventing incidents, and ensuring the well-being of all personnel on board.
