This course focuses on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), a critical energy-isolation safety procedure used to protect personnel from the unexpected startup of machinery or the release of hazardous energy during maintenance and repair work. It trains workers how to systematically identify and isolate all energy sources—including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and thermal power—using physical locking devices and highly visible warning tags. The curriculum covers the strict, step-by-step sequence of LOTO implementation, which includes notifying affected staff, shutting down equipment, isolating energy, applying locks, bleeding off residual or stored energy, and verifying a total zero-energy state before any hands-on work begins. Ultimately, the training ensures compliance with global occupational safety standards to prevent severe workplace injuries and fatalities caused by accidental equipment re-energization.
