Collision, Grounding & Flooding Emergency Measures

175,00

This course focuses on the immediate, time-critical response actions and damage control protocols required when a vessel undergoes a catastrophic hull compromise due to a collision, grounding, or severe flooding. It trains bridge and engine room crews on how to instantly assess structural damage, execute emergency steering or beaching maneuvers, and utilize internal stability programs to calculate the ship’s remaining buoyancy and risk of capsizing. The training places massive emphasis on practical containment strategies, including the deployment of high-capacity emergency bilge pumps, the closing of remote watertight doors, and the physical rigging of shores, plugs, and patches to slow down water ingress. Ultimately, it ensures that officers and crew can manage chaos under extreme pressure to stabilize the ship, prevent environmental pollution, and save human lives.
