Man Overboard (MOB) Recovery Procedures

175,00

This course covers the immediate, time-critical maneuvers and rescue actions required to locate and safely recover a person who has fallen into the sea. It trains bridge officers and crew on the instant execution of standard recovery maneuvers—such as the Williamson or Scharnow turns—to bring the ship back onto its original track line, while simultaneously deploying lifebuoys, smoke markers, and tracking coordinates. The training places massive emphasis on launching the vessel’s Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) under harsh sea conditions, utilizing specialized recovery cradles, and administering immediate first aid for hypothermia and near-drowning. Ultimately, it builds the rapid team coordination and split-second decision-making skills needed to maximize a casualty’s chances of survival in the open ocean.
