Pandemic Management & Public Health Measures

175,00

This course provides maritime medical officers, master mariners, and shore-side managers with the comprehensive protocols required to prevent, contain, and manage communicable disease outbreaks on board commercial vessels and cruise ships. It trains personnel how to establish strict quarantine zones, implement universal contact-tracing measures within a closed maritime environment, and utilize specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) tailored for biohazard defense.

The training places a massive emphasis on international health compliance—specifically coordinating with the World Health Organization (WHO) and adhering to International Health Regulations (IHR)—to handle complex shipboard scenarios such as managing suspected cases at sea, executing safe medical evacuations (medevacs), and navigating local port health authorities during a public health emergency. Ultimately, the curriculum ensures that a vessel can maintain essential global trade operations while decisively protecting the crew’s physical well-being and preventing the cross-border spread of pathogens.
